Who We Are

Founded in 1897, the Zionist Organization of America (“ZOA”) is the oldest pro-Israel organization in the United States. With offices around the country and in Israel, the ZOA is dedicated to educating the public, elected officials, media, and college/high school students about the truth of the ongoing and relentless Arab war against Israel. ZOA is also committed to promoting strong U.S.-Israel relations. ZOA works to protect Jewish college and high school students from intimidation, harassment and discrimination, and in fighting anti-Semitism in general.

What We Do

For nearly 120 years the ZOA has been a leader in American support for Israel with initiatives:

In Congress: ZOA Government Relations Department works every day with members of Congress to advocate for Israel. We focus on issues ranging from Iran’s nuclear program, to the Palestinian Authority’s support for terrorism, to Arab state sponsorship of terrorism.

In the Courts: The ZOA Center for Law and Justice advocates on legal issues affecting Israel and the Jewish people.  We have submitted amicus briefs on a variety of issues, and have played a key role in protecting Jewish students from anti-Semitic harassment and intimidation in their schools.

On Campus: The ZOA Campus Department works to help students with Israel advocacy and educational programs on campuses throughout the country. Our coordinators work with numerous student groups to spread a positive message about Israel and to combat anti-Semitism on campus.

In the Knesset: The ZOA’s Israel office meets daily with members of the Knesset and with Israeli media to inform them of ZOA’s views and of the issues affecting American Jews.

In your Community: The ZOA organizes events all the time in the New Jersey area. These include social gatherings for young professionals, public rallies and demonstrations to combat BDS, lectures from policy experts and more. See our events page for more information
